My daughter Kelsey Christine, 18, is a sophomore at Smith College where she majors in theater and takes her writing and acting seriously. She is also an able summer employee of the highly regarded and critically acclaimed Parker Pie.
I am a coordinator of Online Learning for the Community College of Vermont (CCV). I was the college’s first and original coordinator of Online Learning and, starting in 1996, built my share of that academic program from the ground up to see it become CCV’s second largest enrollment center. I also teach history for CCV and the Johnson State College External Degree Program. In the intervening years I’ve taught more than 150 sections of the 25 courses I’ve adapted to the medium. I hold a bachelors degree in history from Johnson State College, a masters in the humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a doctorate in education, curriculum and instruction, from Argosy University, Sarasota.
I am a two-time throat cancer survivor.
